newbie here with both my truck and this forum
Hello everyone,
New guy here, new to site and to a diesel. My story in a nutshell. I work in construction, a home builder, and use my truck everyday. Well this past christmas morning we had a bilzzard here, well here in texas is was a blizzard. Anyways, long story short my truck caught fire and burned to the ground.
I've been wanting a diesel for awhile now, needed extra pulling power and i drive nearly 150 miles round trip every day (mostly highway) so i thought a diesel would be a good choice. but i hadn't been planning on getting a new truck for another few years until my wife's car was paid for. Then i came across a 04 F-250 4x4 with a 6.0 powerstroke for 12 with only 119,000 on it. sounded like a the best choice i had at the time.
So far i love the truck, lots more power than the 99 dodge i had. i would like to upgrade truck some, but this will be a daily driver and i don't want to sacrifce any mpg or pulling power. any ideas. i thought i might start with exhaust. i thought about a banks system, but that's prob gonna be way out of the price range.
