hey fellow diesel drivers! I rock a 1984 F250 4x4 with a 6.9 and a standard 4speed in it. when I bought it, it didn't start and it leaked oil EVERYWHERE! The previous owner was leaving town, and was really looking to unload the truck fast. So, $500 later and I was the proud owner of another man's garbage. Needless to say, my wife was highly displeased and doubtful. I had to rebuild the starter and recharge the batteries to get it to crank and start. after scraping all the crud off of the motor, I was able to find and fix all the oil leaks. one of the leaks was a bad brake master cylinder, so that got replaced. The truck has an ATS non wastegated turbocharger on it from one of the previous owners. It has an electric lift pump between the fuel water separator and the fuel filter. as far as other mods, I have not found any. I myself have only fixed the fuel return lines at the injectors and changed all the fluids, which was long overdue. I've had it around the block a few times, I cant wait to take out on the hi-way. She's not much to look at, which is why I call her my: "Ugly Girlfriend"
