LOL, yeah he is a little obsessive . . . . Kind of like all he ever does is post here . . . 
Seriously, one of the hardest things to do is 'diagnose' over the internet. You ask as many people as you want to describe the same thing and you will get almost as many differing descriptions. I'm not sticking up for the guy who missed the popped boot; but I can see how that could easily happen.
Shoot, I work with a handful of people who operate the few machines we have here at work. I remember when I started that it threw me a little at first until I learned the different ways these people would describe the same problem. Until I learned that, they would almost have me chasing my tail at the wrong end of the machine trying to fix whatever was wrong! I'm sure it was kind of comical for a while . . . . .
