Newbie Toronto Canada RAM+SUNRUNNER+SR5
I have a 01 Ram 2500 Quad Cab 4x4 Cummins 325HP My Own Cold Air Ram Intake (K&N) EDGE BOX Biodiesel Lovin' Cummins Sounding Hunk OF Steel Beauty
96 Pontiac Sunrunner 4x4 with stock crap chev engine that way over revvs and sucks gas faster than as drunk Canadian drinking Canadian Beer so changing over to diesel - which I have been thinking of for months and came accross this site by pure luck and I think this is now one of my top 5 sites to go to now, bless the ones who started this and to make the adapters to make my conversion come true!!! I was wondering what the hell I was going to do to use a Jetta engine and everything from a VW car to transplant into my 96 Sunrunner. To live up here in the GreaT WhitE NortH and the nothern states WE NEED 4x4s but the oil companies have bought everyone and the govt off to get bad gas mileage, THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL THEY CANNOT MAKE A 2CYL DIESEL WITH ENOUGH POWER TO GET 100MPG AT LEAST!!! THE BRIBE $$$ THAT OIL COMPANIES THRW AROUND EVERY YEAR IS GOT TO BE IN THE BILLIONS-WELL I AM SICK OF IT!
I have made my own biodiesel and when this crappy winter is over I am making a 100L per day Bio Plant and converting over my Sunrunner and Toyota SR5. I want to have Turbo Diesels in both, or at least the SR5. I need to find out what the best diesel engine is for MPG.
I am also interested in getting 3cyl engines from Europe that get 75MPG over here or find the cars that are in North America Already.
My best friend has a full garage with everyt6hing we need to build, weld, cut, design & fab everything we need. I have done tons of work to the Sunrunner already from replacing the crap engine for another crap engine already, welded in new floor, fabbed front and rear steel bumpers, insulated the whole truck,, welded in 3"x4" steel tubes in place of the rockers, cold air intake, blaster coil, iridium plugs and it still only get 18.5MPG which sucks donkey A$$ so changing to VW diesel. I have a fried I have known for years with a scrap yard and I talked to him today about buying me a couple cars that have been in accidents to the rear end but still have a good running diesel engines so I will be abkle to get whole cars for total diesel transplants.
So what I need to find out here is what are the best MPG Diesel engines to get in VW cars and that AA have the coversion kits for me to change the Sunrunner and SR5 into diesel suckin' MPG killers, so what do you guys think????????????
Thanks Guys,
Scott
