Default 1995 8.3 Monaco

Howdy Everyone!

I am a first time diesel owner and I know just enough about diesels to be dangerous although I've been a grease monkey for over 50 years.

I would really appreciate some info on how to jack up the power on my 300hp Cummins without ruining the driveability.

It sits in a 40 foot Monaco with a 6 speed Allison with 85K

Thanks in advance for any info you can share

Dale

I would suggest making it breath better (intake, exhaust). I do not know what is available for that size Cummins.

Welcome Dale...

We would prefer if you asked your questions here:

Dodge Truck and Cummins Turbo Diesel Forum - Diesel Bombers

^This is the introduction forum.

I have to admit, this site is pretty much dedicated to the 5.9L engine found in the pickups.

Does the 8.3 have a P-pump or a rotary pump? Do you have a pyrometer and/or boost guage? I assume you have a Holset turbo....what size is it?
