Default 2005 vs. 2007 Allison trans.
Hey im new. i have a 2005 chevy 2500hd that ive had for 1 year now. its got a 12 inch lift all suspention with 40 inch toyos under it. i also have the edge programer but i still have the stock tranny and its goin downhill quick. i really want to get a suncoast but dont have the money right now. if i can get my hands on a 2007 allison trans off my buddy will it bolt up?

the trans swap will work as long as you also us the tcm (trans control module). the 6sp tranny is a little stronger than the 5sp plus you will lower your crusing rpms. go 4 it! also, welcome to the site
