Hi Everyone!!!
This forum rocks and I just had to join. I got into diesels about a year ago and recently picked up a pretty clean 1991.5 Dodge Ram D350. I am only the third owner and the last two guys took great care of her. I really like the first gens simplicity and I want to do everything I can to make her more powerful but still fuel efficient, and much more comfortable and cool. So far I have only turned up the pump, put together a cold air kit, and installed a homemade propane setup. Injectors will be definitely be next since I get no smoke, even with the pump cranked up.
I love doing things on the cheap just to see if I can and if I can make it better than bought. Must be why I loved Project Rust Bucket. I am currently working on a nice veggie conversion kit that I have put together and only have about $400 in it. I am also planning on fabbing up an air suspension like the Talon kit. The ride is just too harsh when its unloaded. I am also thinking about finding some 19.5" wheels in a salvage yard that will fit. I'll post pics as it comes along and look forward to getting advice and feedback.
