Default Did I make a mistake?

I recently bought a 07 dodge. It has a 6.7 cummins and was wondering if I should have bought a 5.9. I had a 99 with a 24 valve and loved it but the truck started to nickel dime me, so I upgraded. I was sold on the 6.7 because of the six speed automatic tranny. I was told horror stories about the automatic. My 99 had a manual five speed and I could not find a newer diesel with a six speed manual that wasn't two wheel drive or quad cab. I thought I found a deal, the 07 was everything I thought I wanted, with only 37k miles. The truck was not a clean as I wanted but was worth it because of the low miles. So the question I have for you guys is how has the truck been when it gets to 100+ thousand miles, and also with mods, I want to delete the dpf, chip, ext, ext. Can anybody help me?

I don't have one, but I would think that with the deletes they run pretty good and mostly trouble free. In your shoes, I would have kept the 2nd gen, but that's just me...
