need fuel tank insert ?

Cards need fuel tank insert ?

Replaced the insert/sending unit in my '01 with the DC in tank pump...mistake...Do I need to get another unit ( threw mine away ) or can I mod the in tank pump. Plan is to use a Fass II or equivalent.thx jth.

The factory pump will be not used if you install a Fass or AirDog. Not quite sure what your asking here. Welcome to DieselBombers

With the Fass or Airdog, you won't need the in-tank unit. That would likely be replaced with a draw straw or something along those lines. The Fass or Airdog, mounts outside the tank. (not in it). Hope that's what you were asking...

Thanks ,just need to know if I can use the housing of in tank pump for drawing fuel or have to get the oem tank unit again to draw fuel. Thanks again for replies.jth.

nope, you will be either drilling a hole in your tank for the Fass fuel pick-up or AirDog modifies the housing so you don't have to drill into the tank. But either way no, you will not need a different style housing.
