Hi All,
My name is Scott and I live in Erie. Picking up my first diesel on Friday. 2001 Ford F350 crew. Been looking for the last couple months, and your site has been very helpful when I have been doing some research. Very glad I found your site, some great info here. I am sure I will have some questions on this truck. I am a single father with two sons, they are 11 and 10. Part of the reason upgraded to crew cab. I have a 89 250 super now and that back seat wasnt cutting it, the boys are getting to big. We do alot of camping each year, fishing, and my main passion is Elk hunting each fall and my new hobby of reloading/shooting for the custom rifles I had built for hunting(it is a great way to vent off that frustration of the ex) . That was the reason on picking to go with a diesel over the 460. We get loaded down pretty well on the trips. This last year, we were pulling home with the F250, std, 351w, was working it hard pulling back with 3 elk, atv and coleman key west pop up camper.
This new truck aleady has a few things upgraded, had 5" exh turbo back, and programmer. I will have to send in some pic's to get opions on what the system is and if it should be replaced. I want to have it run well, bumped some over stock. Since still dealing with ex on maintenance, the money will be tight until next year, so it will have to be the smaller upgrades until later.
