Welcome to Db first off!!

Second, you DO NOT want to use gas it will completely rob your fuel of any lubricity that it does have, most people just cut it with #2 Diesel, or kerosene works just as well to...

Welcome to the forums!
I would suggest thinning it with #2 as well.

Welcome to DieselBombers
As stated above stay away from gas. Are you in a cold climate just looking for something that will flow better. I know of guys that will start their trucks on regular diesel and once they warm up switch over. And then before they shut down will switch back to diesel. Most things that will actually thin will also reduce lubrication. This read talks of heating the oil Sustainable Energy From Vegetable Oil | Energy Bulletin
