As stated above stay away from gas. Are you in a cold climate just looking for something that will flow better. I know of guys that will start their trucks on regular diesel and once they warm up switch over. And then before they shut down will switch back to diesel. Most things that will actually thin will also reduce lubrication. This read talks of heating the oil Sustainable Energy From Vegetable Oil | Energy Bulletin
