Default 2002 duramax possible solution?

im buying a 2002 duramax in a few weeks and i know about the injector problem. my question is if i buy aftermarket injectors will that fix the problem? what is a good aftermarket injector for a basically stock truck. i dont need anything extreme, just reliable. and i know the cost a couple grand but i have the money to do so. my truck has 190,000 miles and the extended warrenty is almost done for so i need a solution fast. ALL COMMENTS APPRECIATED!!!!! THANKS!!!!

if you planning on making low to mild hp keep the stock injectors. if you truck is an injector killer look into replacing the ficm with one from a 03-04 lb7 motor and use the acdelco blue filters they are for the lly's and up. they got more filtration and more layers of filter media to keep at the gunk out.

one thing people do is throw in a some 2 stroke oil at one ounce to one gallon every other fill up. But if you got no problems then you still might be in good shape

but the 03-04 duramax has injector problems too so what good would that do. i'v heard of people doing all those filter changes and still having their injectors go bad and it seems to me that the only solution is to invest in some better injectors. i plan to put a banks six gun on my truck so it wont be totally stock.

The lil banks tuner alone wont require you needing bigger injectors. The only reason to go with bigger injectors would be shooting for over 600rwhp .. Just my $0.02

Its a crapshoot really bud.. You might put 400,000+ miles without any inj problems..

yeah theres people who never had a problem @ all with their injectors. and some can go though 10 sets. its just the nature of the motor. some people argue that its the lack of filtration thats killing them, or them or theres too much voltage. in the lly's they made both these changes the voltage was cut in half and the filters got better and higher tolerances. and so far no big issues with lly injectors.
