Default Hello,

Dr. G here, and no I'm not a real Dr. its just a nickname I picked up when I raced boats and built race engines for them. I don't do that anymore but the handle stuck for some reason. I still work on boats, motor cycles, 4 wheelers and almost anything that runs on gas. I quit working on cars and trucks (except my own) because at 70 yrs. I don't fit in small places as easily as I used to. Anyway, I have a 2008 F-250 crew cab with LWB. and the 6.4 PS diesel.
I do all my own service work on it and avoid repair shops and dealer shops like the plague. I just turned 80K miles on it and would like to share my experiences and problems with this vehicle. So I'm here and off to the technical question and answer section to learn and share.
Thank you
Dr. G.

Default 1990 F250 4x4 E4od Swap

Hey all!
This is my first post, ever!! Forgive the many blunders to follow!

Question, I have a 90 F250 4x4 Diesel with the E4od. Hoping to swap in a 5 speed from a 88 F250 2x4 Diesel donor truck. Would this be a straight swap/interchange? Any advice?

old thread but new to me exhaust gases in the coolant res hard upper radiator hose 100500 miles would like to no if erg could cause exhaust gases in coolant, or cup seals would allow water to enter oil. from all info seems like head gasket fresh oil fresh coolant. went to change thermostat low and behold there were none and the coolant sensor was looped with a wire. red flag 4 me. need good pitctures for head gasket removal.
