hello all

Bessy The Bad Ass 04-06-2013 01:34 PM

I have just recently purchased a 89 Cummins turbo Diesel Dually Flatbed.:rocking: It has had a seriously hard life up until now. Its poor U Bolts were completely lose with a huge gap between the spacer and the end of the threads. The Leaf springs were so flat, you could tell they had loader her to the max with wet Madrone, and hauled off of a hill with a 22% grade.:dang: Her power steering pump needs replaced, her return line is leaking a drip every 3 seconds, and her interior need a bit to be desired. :ouch: I have to admit though, her engine purrs like a kitten.
So when I start to tear into her problems I will be looking for a bit of help to say the least. :tu:

My truck is 99 quad cab 275 horse with 10 speed double overdrive transmission. Bought it new and still going without so much as having the valve covers off. Redid the fuel transfer system. Have air ride in the back end with air ride 5th wheel. Air pressure supplied by 12VDC installed air compressor with controlling switches and pressure gauges for both systems located in the cab. :jump:

I don't even have a truck yet, I'm here to soak up all the knowledge I can for when I do get mine, which will be soon.
I hope to have a Ford 7.3 or 6.0 in the next few months. Please go easy, I'll be the first to admit my knowledge is rather basic.
