I've heard of 5.7 GM diesel, my sister in law had a 1980 sometime oldsmobile cutluss that had one in it. They were pretty much a 350 gasser made into a diesel, GM didn't make em for very many years. I've never heard of a 4.3 diesel either.

Ahh yes, the 4.3L. Only bad thing about them is you get them hot once, and you warp the aluminum heads big time. But they aren't a bad engine either. Seems like they got real good fuel economy, when they ran. BTW, welcome to DB.

Hi,Thanks for the reply I been busy and haven't checked back until now SORRY,can you tell me more about the engine does it turn over and what does it have the belt tensioner on it?Also is it a D block or DX block? Dennis
