Ive allready ordered the drivers side exhaust maniflod with a pre drilled pyrometer to get rid of the factory pinch. Im looking for an exhaust system. i wanted to do a dual exhuast out the back and I have been told that my gooseneck hitch will be in the way so im looking for alternatives. also looking into an intake system and a programmer for starters. I also had some questions about gearing because i wanted to run some 22.5 Tractor Alcoas on my truck and was wondering how much they would affect the gear ratios.

a single 4inch exhaust would do just fine. or even stacks

U dont really need an intake for a dmax, especially an lly. The only True cold air intakes are the banks and enervative engineering.

But u can modify the stock one for more flow, thes a how-to somehwere here.

With a programmer u can correct the gear ratios.

First off, WELCOME..

secondly.. as for the airbox, this is for the LBZ, but the airbox is quite similar on the DMAX's and here is a DIY for a airbox mod that I did while back LBZ AIR BOX MOD.

For exhaust, I run a 4" turbo back.. It should flow plenty for up to 550rwhp IMO. For a Programmer.. there are quite a few really good ones actually for the DMAX's.. but its all in how much you wanna spend ya know? PPE+2 Hot or EFI Live you will definately get the most power out of.

Those sure are some slick trucks you got bud. See ya around!

Welcome to DB. Those are some impressive vehicles. I think once you start playing with this diesel you'll have a hard time going back to gas.

As said above I'd just modify your stock intake.

I also have 4" exhaust from the turbo downpipe back. I'd do that.

You can also block the EGR and reroute your PCV valve. I'm hoping to get my DIY articles up here soon so keep an eye out for them.

I have the PPE Standard tuner. I'm very happy. There are a lot of options for tuners depending on your goals and how fast you can afford to go. The bigger tuner you get the more supporting mods you'll need to do to the rest of the truck.

thanks thats very useful, shipping to Hawaii is almost as much as the product is so modifying the stock intake would be a better and cheaper solution
