New Member : Kubota V2403 - M- T build
Hi There
I have been following some of your threads on Kubota builds and decided to join your forum.
I have just taken delivery of a Kubota V2403 -M-T-ET06 engine with around 800hrs on the clock. The engine plate says 41.7Kw @ 2600 rpm. Its from a mower.
My plan is to increase the engine power as much as possible without compromising reliability. The engine will be mated to a Jeep T-98 gearbox to replace a Perkins 4.108 in a 1975 Viasa Jeep Commando.
I intend to work on the engine modifications in my workshop before I fit to my vehicle so hopefully fix any issues.
From reading the various threads my work will include:
Stiffer governor spring
Turbo bleed valve
EGT Probe
I am looking for a good torque increase and ability to cruise at highway speed (120Km/h) with the right gearing and wheels as opposed to high RPM figures. The vehicle is not intended for serious off-road but does need to cope with dirt tracks occasionally.
I will try and take some pics as the build progresses.
Any suggestions from other members who have tuned up the Kubota engine would be most welcome. Maybe I have missed something in my list of mods ?
Thanks
