Hello, just picked up my second Dodge cummins, thought I would join instead of creep every now and then. My first truck was a '99 Dodge 2500 4x4 5.9L auto quad cab long box that I had for 6 years. Loved the motor, hated the front suspension non-stop till the day I sold it two years ago. Did an experiment and went back to gas trucks, but came to the conclusion that I just don't have enough free time to work on my rigs all the time. So, after much research, ended up going back to a Dodge and picked up a 2005 Ram 3500 4x4 SLT quad cab short box SRW with an auto so my wife could drive it once in a while, . I'm second owner, has 112k on it basic 2.5 leveling kit on it and 285's, everything else is completely stock. Looks like it was a garage queen that by the records went exclusively to the dealer for anything, even the batteries are Mopar still. Anyways, will be hunting for advice in the future for some basic upgrades, mostly keeping it relatively stock (that's what i'm telling the wife anyways). Just ordered an Edge insight CTS2 with EAS EGT cable, might do a few more adders in the future to it. Thinking about doing a truetrac in the rear since it's wonderful factory open diff, and pondering if I want to do just a simple Smarty Jr or similar.
