Hello everyone! first off thanks for the add guys! ive been wanting a turbo diesel for ages now! and i could finally afford one as of today, however i could only afford one that wasnt the best truck around so heres whats going on. maybe you guys can help shine some light on this and let me know whats going on.


its a 2nd gen 12 valve cummins.

Issue 1) very sluggish at launch.
im thinking this could mean bad fuel filter? or something else perhaps leading to a bad fuel pressure, it seems to do a little better while at a roll but still nothing like my buddys 1st gen.

Issue 2) Oil coming from the top of dipstick tube.
this is probably blow by yes?

Issue 3) i have to push the rod up into the fuel solenoid in order to start the truck. is the solendoid rebuildable? or am i just better of buiying a new one

Issue 4) rusted out cab corner/rocker.
whats the best repair for this? just cut one off a different cab? or???
