First Diesel
Well bought my first diesel, 08 F350 6.4...looks to be some scary stories out there about them, but this forum lists the different brands...hoping to make sense out of all the posts & what I may have gotten myself into.
The Ford is just a standard cab farm truck, but only had 70K miles, already had the exhaust delete and a Mini Maxx, so I am hoping I'm not going to have big buck troubles...

I had an 08 extended cab 6 speed with 31k on it when I got it. Mine was horrible. 
Intercooler, EGR, EGR housing, reflash (4x), constant DPF regens, MAP sensor, etc. All in 5 months. Only advice I have is to beat it. Everything I read later says drive it like you stole it for the motors sake. No advice on mods, mine was stock. I didn't get mileage (10.5 on best days) so I hope mine was a basket case and not typical. Good luck.

I have made a couple payments on mine, and so far I love the truck, but if I have to do the fuel system for $5grand I wouldn't be....or any of the problems you had....
I guess I gotta roll the dice on this one for now, but keep an eye out on the car lots for a trade....
