I believe your circuit is probably open on your Electronically control EGR valve. Change the EGR valve first or check the electrical portion for damage. burned wire etc..

Thanks for the reply.I have a Dodge sprinter 2006 this a diesel 2.7 I've been getting a code P0404 for my EGR I took it out it seems like it's moving fine I cleaned it anyways and put it back and I'm still pulling the same code. Is there anything else I can do to the EGR or tests on it or am I stuck and I have to buy a new one ? And all my hoses and wires that are going into my EGR look fine.
