Hi folks,
I finally splurged and purchased an 07 ram 2500. I must say going from a ford f150 to a dodge diesel was quite the change of scenery. The previous owner took excellent care of this 59k truck, the undercarriage is superb for living 10 years in Wisconsin - hardly any corrosion. I would guess that the truck was garaged for most of it's life.
Being a noob to the diesel engine, I have a question.
Driving habits - anything I should be doing, this is my daily driver. I'm not a habitual lead foot, although I drive a major interstate to and from work.
Thanks for the advice, and happy Independence Day!

Welcome to Diesel Bombers !! sounds like you got a good truck! Diesels need time to cool off when you get where your going. I like to let the truck idle once I reach a destination, parts store ect. It can take up to 3-5 minutes on a really hot day to get exhaust temps down around 300. That is a big life saver for the turbo bearing and there is so much more info to tell you.
