inherited 93 chevy 6.5T
hey everyone,
So I recently inherited my grandpa's 93 Chevy 6.5L Turbo. As far as I can tell everything is stock and I doubt my grandpa did anything upgrades performance wise. Just wanted to introduce myself and say hello to everyone and let you know my intentions here. I would really like to wake up this sleeping diesel. After looking online I read that it comes stock with less horsepower and torque than my 5.9 Hemi in my daily driver truck. I'm not sure what an attainable number for torque would be without having to do some major upgrades to the internal parts for the engine, but I definitely want it to make more than my current truck. A little about me, I'm 31 born and raised in Oregon. joined the army a couple years after high school, where I was a missile system technician for 8 years. I was stationed in Kansas and California, so obviously my army career was extremely exciting :/ After deciding that electrical engineering wasn't the path for me I quit college and got a job as a mechanic working on G3516 and G3520 Caterpillar Generator sets. I'm still constantly learning more about engines and will always try to learn more. I hope that I can contribute to this forum in some way.
