Default Need Opinion on Truck

Whats up guys?
I'm in the market of buying my first diesel truck and I've been looking for a while and found one I liked and went to the dealership yesterday. It was a 1997 Ford F250 with a 7.3 powerstroke but after looking at it in person and the fact that it wouldn't start, it was a no go. But the salesman showed me another one they had and after i drove it i fell in love. So i was set to go and could walk out the door with it but i told him i wanted to think about it some more and wanted to see what yall thought.
Here's the link to it: Used 2002 Dodge Ram Pickup for Sale in Lubbock TX 79412 Hayes Motor Co.

My main concern is it has over 300,000 miles. And yes i know that diesels last longer than gas trucks but at the same time with that amount of miles, who knows how many owners its had or how it was driven.

THe bigger concern is the price. I mean almost $13,000? Come on. He knowcked it down to $9,600 but still KBB says it should be between $5,300-$6,800 and the truck runs great but the interior's a little torn up and i dont care but it should knowck the price down. Also it has a crack on the Driver's side of the windshield and in Texas it's illegal fora vehicle to have any dmage to the windshiel in the Driver's field of visin. So i can probably get him to drop the price then too. But i just wanted some help to tell me what y'all think.

Do they have a service record for the truck?
And you should find a good diesel repair shop in your area and have them go over the whole truck and inspect it.
Fuel pressure ect.
And welcome to db.
