Hello form JAPAN! :P
Hey guys!
I'm a huge diesel fan originally from MI. But right now I'm active duty Navy in Japan! (Counting the days until I get out, trust me!
)
When I get out I'd like to get into the Diesel Industry as a Diesel Engine Mechanic. Still debating on whether to go Industrial, like Construction Equipment, or 18 Wheelers. Or to just go into a shop that does 3/4 and 1 ton trucks! (Would prefer working on 18 wheelers, but whatever you guys think would be best) I'd love to hear what some Mech's have to say!
Anyway my family's first Diesel (that we still have) is a 1999 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke! Love the crap out of that truck! However, personally I'm a Cummins Guy! Nothing against the other brands just like the Cummins the most out of all of them!
I'm currently shopping around for my first Diesel Truck! Obviously looking for a Cummins, and I'd like to find something with a 5.9L and a Manual! Has to be a crew cab to! And of course first things on my list are a Cold Air Intake, an Exhaust, and Some kind of Chip/Tuner or maybe even a monitor like the Edge Programmer...
Anyway now I'm day dreaming again...sorry I'll keep that to myself! Look foward to learning a lot! I'd love to do all of my installs and work myself when the time comes! So I'll probably be around a lot! Look forward to meeting some Diesel freaks like me!
