I have experience keeping up older gas engine cars, dirt bikes and 70s era motorcycles but no experience with diesel engines and since I recently bought a 1985 Ford diesel van 180K, I figured I better learn the basics.
Any thoughts or advice to a new owner that may prevent mechanical or financial heartache are welcome!

if it has problems starting when cold , BUY OEM motorcraft/beru glow plugs ..
prob best to replace the glow plug controller also if they click on and off constantly ...

A turbo also makes them go faster ... N/a with a c6 they are quite the slug ..
