Hey all, I've never owned a diesel so I'm new to them and this site. Since I'm gearing up for a new (used) car purchase I'm looking into trucks. I plan to research and just read around this site for 6-12 months and then start seriously shopping around.

My general idea now is to get a 5.9 cummins, 2 dr, 2500/3500. Plans would be a non-daily driver that can tow the toys and lay a respectable drag time for a large truck. For fun, not for any competitions. So how to build for that will be my initial research. Any pointers to threads on hand are welcome, otherwise I will browse

Truck and engine may change as I learn. Either way I'm happy to have found this site.
