Hello all. My name is Joel. I'm from MS.
Back around Oct I finally bit the bullet an bought my first diesel.
98.5 Dodge 2500, 4wd, 120xxx miles, bone stock except for bags. Best I can tell, the original owner had a slide in camper.
Since I've had it I have removed the mufflers, tinted the windows, husky liners, seat covers, bed liner, tool box, ect.. Just basic stuff to fit my needs. I don't PLAN to do a lot to it. I've been told to stay away from programmers and such because the stock trans cant take the power, so I've just been focused on other things. I plan to get a leveling kit and tires next. Once I make up my mind how much to lift the front and what size tires I want.....
I am also thinking about a fuel pressure and oil pressure gauge. I've heard these need to be monitored accurately with these engines. In the long run, I just plan to drive and enjoy it. I don't anything heavy, at most a couple of rzr's or a 50 hp tractor..
I'll probably be reading on here much more than posting, but I did want to introduce myself and give a little background.
