I just joined, I'm looking forward to getting helpful advice. I own a 08 Dodge Ram Mega Cab with the 6.7L Cummings with only 65,000 miles. I've enjoyed my truck so far. The owner before me removed the DPF so I'm very fortunate. I'm thinking the next thing to do is an EGR delete, and suggestions?

Thanks

Thank you. I'm looking to do the EGR delete however I can't get a clear answer if I'm going to need a "smarty" type program to go along with this also?

Your DPF will be deleted in one of to ways . You will have a tune in your truck of you will have sims . You can't just take it off with out check engine light s and limp mode .
If you have sims I would just buy a programmer and take them out .
If the previous owner has a tune in it you could have some problems down loading a new tune .
There will be someone on here that will know far more about then me. All I know is in the instructions for my smarty they said your truck has to be stock and no extra programming can be loaded on to ecm before you start loading the new program. Or the ecm could be damaged.
