Just recently bought my first diesel, it's a 1989 D250 automatic. The old girl is in pretty good shape. I would guess it sat for some time and then had some new parts thrown at her and was put back on the road. The UCA/ball joint on the passenger side had been welded at some point and trashed, ruining the knuckle process. I've gone through the front end replacing everything needing attention and she aligned nicely and drives tight. Had a cone filter which I changed back to a OEM style cleaner. Windows work along with most everything else, cruise doesn't work. I've a persistent fuel leak at the fuel heater that I got parts for today and should have resealed tomorrow. Before messing with turning anything up I'm installing gauges. Tach, pyro, boost and fuel pressure. Finding out how different the 89 is compared to the newer models with most everything I touch. I have to learn every thing about this world. It's all fun..
Thanks,

Thank you
An old timer I know used to call his road tractor that, I asked to use the name on the 2.6 truck and he was more than willing to let me use it

Well, my truck doesn't really go fast, although it's been known to take out a powerstroke here and there, it's not built for speed
Other than that. I love the name

Mine is a bit odd, sometimes it'll really roll out, other times it takes a bit to run up. It's all good.
