New to the dieselbomber threads
Hello from So. California,
First time on the threads and looking to all the experience diesel owners out there for upgrades, tips and tricks.
Starting my own small fleet. Leading off with my 2006 GMC 2500HD 6.6 with the Allison 6 speed tranny
Body lift with a two inch leveling lift.
Banks intake kit with full intake sleeve all the way down under the front bumper
6 inch Magnaflow exhaust
New Bilstein shocks
Air bag system
33' BF Goodrich tires on Moto Metal rims
The wife's toy is a 2004 Ford Excursion 6.0 Limited
Working on her upgrades soon but starting to have problems already.
Popped a P2702 and P2703 after just replacing the alternator and belt.
Oil change and new tires.
More work to do.
Single owner vehicle since 2004. Got some paperwork on it but no enough on the carmax.
Called the dealer in Oxnard and they said last time it was there for service was 2010 so not sure where its been.
Got hooked on diesels in the Marines driving the HumV in 29Palms and loved the power and torque. I knew I had to ditch the import rice burner car and get a truck and been driving one since.
Will reach out for experience, tips and tricks on repairs, as I like to get my hands dirty when possible.
