Default Introducing myself.

My name is Ozzie Moldver, I live in Bellingham Wa. I have 2001 dodge turbo diesel, bought new in 2001. Went to bd diesel and had them put 4" exhaust on it and also install exhaust brake on it. Also had them put 50hp injectors in it, install edge comp box on it. Then I had them put their 400hp auto transmission in it.
At 30,000 miles the lift pump went out and I had burlington dodge replace it. I then went back to bd and had them install a carter lift pump. After that, I had 28 ponds of fuel pressure, I thought, this is great. In 2010 the edge comp box died, I unplugged it and have been running without it since. I checked codes on my truck and the 216 code came up, I was told that the high pressure I was running was probable ruining my injection pump.
I looked under the truck and found that bd had put the carter pump in tandem with the original lift pump which was still running, this was giving the hight pressure.
I now have pulled out both pumps and filter and have installed a fass 150gph pump with all 1/2" lines, It is putting out 16-17psi. I also installed a Banks monster intake system. Truck sounds good and seems to run better. When my injection pump goes or sooner, I will put in a hotrod pump and go Monroe at dynamite diesel and get 100hp injectors. any better ideas?

Welcome to db
And yes. Put a Standard output pump back on it. If you do a little digging on the hrvp you will find some more reasons to go with a sovp
