Default New to upgrades.

I am new to diesels and really don't know where to start with upgrade. My goal is for 550-650 rwhp. It is my daily driver/ weekend vehicle, very little towing. I have $3000 right now and am going to continue to upgrade as I get the money. The turbo is currently out of the truck and I don't know if I should go ahead and upgrade or wait till later

Start with a good aftermarket exhaust. 4 inch will work, but you indicate 550-650 hp, so 5 inch should suit you. There are lots of vendors on line for that. An aftermarket hiflow intake manifold, and Hi flow air filtration system should come into play. Other mods like injectors, turbo, larger intercooler etc will also come into play. But before you go for the injector upgrade, get gauges such as Boost, trans temp, fuel pressure, EGT. You will need to monitor the workings of your mill and trans. Oh, you will need to build a trans to hold that kind of power, if its an auto. Disc and clutch if manual. Your gonna need more than 3k to reach your goal though........

It's a 5 speed 94 12valve and I have a egt and boost gage. I know it will take more than 3 to get there. With the turbo being out should I go ahead and build the turbo. What size will I need for that kind of hp
