Well, if you havent already done so, replace or modify the exhaust system and make it free fowing; then head for the intake system and make it more free flowing as well. This will help your towing efforts substantially. The key is to make it run more efficiently and gain some hp, tq, and mileage all while decreasing EGTs. Oh yeah, get guages as well to monitor your mill's work.

Question is, what would you prefer. My combination works really well for me as far as mileage and efficiency is concerned. I can tow my 9200 lb travel trailer effortlessly, get a steady 16-17 mpg at 62 mph (on the flats), and smoke the duals when my right foot gets an itch (not while towing of course). Any intake elbow above stock will help as well as a good mandrel bent 4 inch exhaust system. But, if on a budget, ditch the stock muffler in favor of a straight through design and ditch the kitty. that will help. Smarty and Smarty Jr. are really good tuners. A bit of research will help you decide. Others will chime in with their combinations and experiences.
