Default Hello

Been an OSB PSD owner since 2003-- '97 Ford F350 7.3l.. a few mods.

Had been a certified auto, diesel and marine mechanic since 1980, long before DIT's were thought of... So engines, HVAC, electric, automatics, manuals, drive trains, alignment... On crews for and raced NASCAR Unlimited Superstocks and NHRA brackets.

But then I went into the service. When I got out, I did other things. I know wiring, diagnostics and testing like the back of my hand. I used to be the best on Weber and Holley carbs in eastern WA. If I can figure out how something works and how it comes apart, it's usually a lot better when I get it back together. I worked as a Diesel mechanic doing heavy trucks and heavy equipment for an underground construction company. So I can still do a lot of my own fabrication work.

HEUI Injection is new to me, at least in the detail I've had to work on lately!!! I've had to crash course it lately to get my truck back up. I'm getting too scary comfortable about pulling my valve covers. I can probably do it in my sleep now! My local injection shop knows be by name... and I don't know if that is a good thing or not. This afternoon, replaced 3 injector coils ($20 each) in my truck and I'm back up. The Ford dealer had told me it would be at least $3400.

Okay, why am I "here"?

I'm wanting to mod my own truck more... I want to learn how-to and play with "my own" tunes. I tried a few other PSD Forums... and they didn't really have the flavor or level of tech I was looking for. Ask a question and you'ld lose everyone/no one would answer, because the skill level wasn't there? I don't know. I like learning and playing.

I heard this forum was more that level of experience and where I could learn.
