Default New guy with a 6.5

Hi everyone, my names Nick and I live in kokomo, IN. I'm 18 and I've been wrenching on cars with my dad since I was little. About 3 years ago my dad bought me a '95 Chevy C1500 350 v8 that needed plenty of work. I spent an unreal amount of time learning on that truck and it started the obsession.

About a year ago I got the bug and wanted to learn about Diesel engines. Being a die hard GM guy from a die hard GM family I was looking a Chevy diesels. Being young I was looking at 6.5s and 6.2s because I couldn't afford a Duramax. I had to find one that was 4x4 extended cab, long bed, and a 5 speed. It took over 6 months to find one and it was in Montana. I called the guy and bought it soon after. I got it for a great price. I had it shipped down here and I was going crazy waiting for it. When I got the truck it needed its fair share of work, it leaked about a quart of oil on the ground any time it sat anywhere, front suspension was shot, interior needed help, etc. this was last August and between then and now I fixed most of the problems and I am absolutely in love with the truck!

About me: I'm 18, a senior in high school, working at a minimum wage job with occasional side jobs. Cars and trucks are my obsession, so much that I've been known to work on my truck at 2 am after a 10+ hour shift my username comes from Pink Floyd ( favorite band) and GMT400 trucks which I love. I do most of my own work on my truck but sometimes ask my dad to lend a hand. I greatly appreciate any and all info you guys can give me, I'm new to diesel and wanting and willing to learn.

I would post pics of my truck but I'm at school right now and can't do I need 5 posts or something before I can post pics?

Awesome, I'll get some on here when I can. I should be done rebuilding the front end and have it out of the garage tomorow, alignment on Tuesday and then get some nice shots of it.

Thanks for the welcome guys
