Default What up?!?!

Howdy All,

Just purchased a 2003 Dodge 2500 with the Cummins 5.9l I6. Got 280,000 on the clock. Truck is equipped 4x4, 6sp manual, manual transfer case, quad cab, 4 inch lift/level. Truck was programmed with a Smarty CR at SW5 and that's where I've left it for now. It's rusted out in the wheel wells and rockers like nobody's business and the bed is banged up like it was hauling bricks for 10 years, but the truck runs like a beast and seems solid mechanically and suspension-wise.

I intend to see this truck turn over 500k if not more and am gonna need some help. I can turn wrenches and understand the basic theory behind diesels, but have never owned or worked on one before.

So let the adventure begin!

I live in the Raleigh, NC area and work in construction, but the truck will mainly be a daily commuter and family vacation mobile. Had to get a truck for work, so I wanted a real one. Figured I'd go all out and then I'd never feel like I couldn't get the job done if something "trucky" needed to happen.

Looking forward to getting to know the truck and the community here.

Ian
