Bad Dad
Bought my 2007 Brand new here in Pennsylvania in January. It is essentially a 2006 product so it does not have that new exhaust system on it. I did a lot of research about all of the diesels , Ford, Dodge and GMC, and settled on what would suit us. My wife and I were leaving this part of the country to go into the full time mission field and I needed the most reliable machine I could find.
I also wanted a body design that was a lower profile looking machine so as not to intimidate those I was about to serve in the mission field. We also were pulling a 42 ft. 5th wheel that would serve as our permanent residence and would accommodate our two teenage sons as well as ourselves.
2007 Classic 1 ton Dully, Duramax/ Allison 6spd, crew cab, long bed fleet. I call him "White Eagle" or "Big Whitey".
The Duramax and Allison 6 speed is absolutely the match made in heaven. On the highway pulling the trailer fully loaded, except water and gry/blk tanks, the truck delivered 16+ miles to the gallon. I have no reason to lie and the Stroke and Ram owners would not believe me till I showed them the records.
Up and down the West Coast, and all around Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Utah. Back and forth from Arizona to New Jersey and "HE" never skipped a beat.
OK. Too Much Info. Learned a lot. Made some friends. Got a lot of work done. Gonna do some more.
