Default Greetings from S Florida

I have owned more Dodge trucks than I can remember, all have been lifted 4x4 gas burners. And now for something different. I picked up a 99 Ram 3500 quad 2wd dually pretty cheap and in pretty good shape with only 138k on it. I have no plans to tow anything, so I want to lower it (nothing radical) and do mods in the interest of better fuel economy. Think of it as a cheap skates rat rod? Although I am more of a paint and body guy, I hope to do most of the work myself. I promise to try and keep stupid questions to a minimum, .
