I have a 5.9 common rail that is making weird knocking/clattering noise. I have been trying to figure out what is causing it for a while now... Noise appeared the day after I raced my truck and pushed it pretty dang hard... I have efi, head studs, 64mm turbo, just finished the rebuild on it in January still pretty low miles... The noise sounds like valves train clatter to me but before I pull the head thought I would post to see if I can get some more ideas.... I have pulled push rods, rockers, and reset valves with no luck in the sound going away... I am going to check injectors tomorrow and if that doesn't work I have to pull head a check valves. I have also thought it could be a wrist pin or rod bearing but don't see why that would happen already... trying to make sure I know it's not something else before I pull the head... All advise and help would be greatly appreciated!
