Default looking at doing some performance upgrades, and could use some advice!

hey guys, i have a 99 dodge 2500. almost bone stock, so far i have straight piped it and put a k&n filter on. now im looking at getting the edge chip for my truck. my concern is what else will i need to upgrade/replace when i do this. fuel system? tranny? injectors? do i really need to upgrade these at the same time i do the chip?

any input would be appreciated, im new to the diesel world!!

a raptor replacement pump will support 400HP, trans... do at least a shift kit and governor pressure solenoid (GM conversion or upgraded), better to include a new transducer, clutches/steels if your trans has a lot of miles on it and a low stall converter with billet cover.

you should upgrade the fuel line from your take to the lift pump then to the fuel pump to keep plenty of fuel getting to your fuel pump so you don't burn up a pump. Then you can do the tuner.

A lift pump upgrade should be at the top of the list. VP's need fuel to stay happy. No programmer until lift pump upgrade. $250 lift pump vs $1100 VP-44. Your choice
