New member, new truck
Howdy from Spokane. Well we just bought a 03 F350 a week ago. Beautifull truck but its back to the dealership in the shop already. 4 dead batteries in the first week and stalled on us in traffic twice. Batteries brand new by the way, and no obvious reasons for the drain. Oh well, I'm sure they'll figure it out. I can see this site and all the knowledge here may come in handy.

If the dealer can't figure out the drain, leave the positive cable connected, disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery, and connect a test light between the negative battery post and the cable terminal.
If it lights up, start pulling fuses one-by-one and if the light goes out, that's the circuit with the draw.
If the light doesn't go out, check for stuff in the engine bay that do not run through the fuse box such as a possible under the hood light.
Can you tell I've never owned a new car......hope this helps you out.

Ya just bought yourself a boatload of issues with your 6.0. Lets just say "its just the begining of things to come." The early 6.0's have alot of issues to deal with. With any luck you can get them addressed before it leaves you in the poorhouse. The 6.0 can be a good reliable engine once its issues are addressed, and there are a few. i have friends that have put between 4-7k into the engine just to get them to be reliable good running trucks. Add that to the cost of the purchase........ well you do the math. Around here I see countless ford f250's and f350's 6.0 PSD's in used car lots. Ive seen the same trucks in there for months. They just dont sell! It seems no-one wants them. Dodge CTD's on the other hand, all over the place.
A neighbor who lives directly behind me, ownes a Pre-owned car sales lot. He told me that he does not buy any Ford 6.0 PSD's because they dont sell. The Ford 7.3 PSD trucks are highly sought after out here, but you have to have the luck of the Irish to find a good one.
Good luck with your truck. I hope youre one of the few that dont have additional problems with it.
