Diesel Question
Hey everyone im new to the site and just want to say the first few days have been great. Thanks for all the support. Anyway i have a 2007, 3500 dodge dually ,mega cab, 2wd, 6 speed manual. I have 19,00 miles on it and will have pictures of it shortly on the web. My question is in ya'lls opinion would it be ok/smart to put a diablo sport predator tuner on the truck without causing serious damages to the motor and warranty? I just got it in the mail today and am not sure about putting it on. Any info will be great!!

Yes, it will void your engine and drivetrain warranty. Ford, Dodge and Chevrolet have all issued bulletins of how to tell if an engine has been run with a programmer/tuner or not. They have to tear into the engine to see it though. Thats why you remove your programmer and return the tune to stock when you go to the dealer. As far as damage you're not going to do much to the engine if your just running a stand alone programmer or box. Your tranny, on the other hand, will suffer. Just dont run above a 90hp tune and the tranny will live for quite awhile.
