Lookin, learnin, need a 2nd generation dodge w/standard trans and everything required to get me down the road in my 49 diamond t. Not building a hot rod as much as modernizing a good ole truck. Model 306, 1 1/2ton, 20" dually. Plan to maintain stock apperance but would like to make some suspension changes and get her where were confortable at 70-75. Need to do whatever is necessary to the rear as I am partial to the original spoke wheels. I am not a motor guy and would be willing to listen to suggestions on moderate upgrades to the Cummins to get me going. I'm assuming from what I'm reading that fuel pumps, exhaust and other goodies should probably be addressed prior to bolting up. Feel free to tell me how you would approach this situation as I am totally in the dark. Not in a hurry, need the right deal for the right reasons. The truck is mint so not really interested in any junk and don't mind taking my time as the money comes slowly and goes like grass thru a goose.
