I have a 2004 Excursion 4WD Turbo Diesel with 99,200. Trying to decide whether or not to sell with the cost of diesel at $4+ a gallon and not as much need for it as before. If I can modify it to get more mpg, I might keep it. Thinking of another, smaller Ford. Into lots of sports as a coach and like to make long trips; cannot afford airfare.

Anybody else decide to sell and wish they hadn't? Anybody else made mods and very happy with the results?

Sounds like you have a pretty nice ride. What kind of smaller Ford would you be considering?

As far as modifying it for efficiency, I can't help you there, but I'm sure someone on here can put you in the right direction.
