Default Me and my 82 Chevy

Lets see... I'm 17, love trucks, and my grandpa recently gave me his 1982 Chevy Scottsdale 4x4 with a 6.2 Detroit diesel. It has its share of issues, but was free. It is n/a as of now with a 700-r4 that is getting ready to fall out, but I plan on putting a turbo from a 6.5 and a 5-speed in it, along with a lift kit and 37s. I am fairly new to the diesel world but I know quite a but about trucks in general since I was raised in a garage. I have been researching diesels though. In the future I will have a Cummins. (Hopefully the near future)
