Default 94 6.5 NOVICE

Gentlemen; Thank you for allowing me to join your happy family of rogues. I have been a mechanic for more years than I care to admit, that I've reached the max allowable years to remain in the military should be a clue that I am no longer a youngster. I recently started doing repairs for a friend of mine who has a 6.5 in a 3500 HD dump. It is hard starting when cold and I have changed the glowplugs and checked the wires for continuity and voltage and to be certain the connections are tight. Since most of my 6.2 and 6.5 experiance has been on equipment without the electronics I was hoping you might have some suggestions as to which direction to take my troubleshooting. I am currently awaiting a new PMD with heat sink and resistor which I intend to mount in the cab. The truck has had many inexperianced fingers in it and I am undoing much and returning it as close as possible to original so I can begin to eliminate clutter and clean up the truck so I can make repairs properly and hopefully inteligently. Having said all that....HELP!!!
