Hi all. I am on my way to becoming a diesel truck owner again.
I had a 2004 GMC 2500 HD D max SLT a few yrs ago. Sold it to pay for med bills associated with a motorcycle wreck I was in.
I am about to trade my 2012 Passat Diesel in for one of two trucks.
I have narrowed it to these:
2008 F250 King Ranch 6.4 Crew cab with 53k miles
or
2010 Ram 6.7 Laramie Crew with 64k miles
Both are 4x4
I really am leary of radiator issues with the ford and of trans issues with the ram. I am sure if you take care of things both will last...but wanted my bretherin out here to give some advice based on your experience with both?
Thanks so much.
Jared

I am supposed to tell them my decision tomorrow morning. I really like both. The f250 has a sunroof...the ram has a leer top. Both within 44 dollars of each other.
I hear the ford holds value better...not sure on that or why....but the ram seems to be more stable in the fuel system from what I read....not sure either. Please comment.
Thanks.
