Aloha from Hawaii. When I transferred here from Washington I was one of a handfull of Light Duty Diesel trucks on the island. I've browsed this site many times for helpfull troubleshooting information and even through I've never logged in before, thanks a lot for all the help. There are little to no resources on Oahu for diesel enthousiasts let alone repair or upgrade parts so sites like this are invaluable. My truck is a 99 2500 Cummins, 4x4, Auto, Quad cab with 76K miles and very few non-cosmetic upgrades. We'll be moving back to the Northwest this summer so it's time get the truck ready to haul the family and a boat.

Over on the Big Island diesels are very popular because there is so much agriculture. Diesel is roughly $3.90 here if you go to a local station. I have to go up to the Army base once a month to fill up and then it's still around $3.50 a gallon. Everything here is so close so and we're gone so much I only put 3K miles a year on the truck.
