Default new diesel owner

hey guys hows it going? just bought my first diesel and figured id join a forum like so and seemed to like this the most. about my truck its a 2003 3500 cummins dually 6 speed, has a stage 2 clutch, 4 inch straight piped, and k&n air filter so pretty much stock. just looking to learn about my truck and diesels in general. im a motorcycle enthusiest and always have been but now its time to broaden my horizons. hope to hear from you guys soon. also would like suggestions on how to build it up for more horsepower tourqe etc.

diesels like to breath,and get rid of the exhaust.So an intake and exhaust upgrade will help your diesel.

thinking about 8 inch stacks within the next few weeks. not sure on a good intake though any suggestions?

take silencer ring off the turbo , and btw stacks are a pain A$$ keep them on the under side

how are stacks a pain in the ***? and the underside of what?

ive been told about the silencer ring and also the baffles in the hosing going into the turbo and knocking the baffles out but i think ill just fab something to replace that so i can keep the stock part for various reasons. for the stacks i know it will probably be a pain to install but i think it will be worth it in the end
